Special kudos to ... composer Carter Burwell for his work this year on "In Bruges," "Burn After Reading" and "Twilight" (yes, "Twilight!)...to Vera Farmiga, who gave three very different, very compelling turns in "Never Forever," "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas" and "Nothing But the Truth" and to Asia Argento for the most enjoyably over the top performance of the year in "The Last Mistress."
